Once again, we had the privilege of participating in the XXVII Annual Congress of Family Business, organized by the IEF – Institute of Family Business, in collaboration with the Cantabrian Association of Family Business ACEFAM, which this year was held in Santander.

The event lasted 3 days and throughout the conference, the fundamental role of family businesses as engines of innovation and pillars of economic stability was highlighted. The program included the participation of businessmen, experts and institutional representatives, who discussed various relevant topics on the public agenda.

The organization, speakers and venue was of a high level with a great participation of Catalan companies. As Sofia Lluch says “Sharing our concerns, achievements and successes with business families is, without a doubt, a privilege”.

His Majesty the King was present, and in his speech he underlined “the key role played by family businesses in the stability and prosperity of employees and customers, as well as in the well-being of society as a whole”.

The congress is an excellent opportunity to highlight the role of family businesses as generators of progress and prosperity. It is also an opportunity for our young people to meet other young people in the same situation and to face the responsibility that the future holds for them. In this edition Eva and Sofia Lluch attended accompanied for the first time by some members of the fourth generation, Alex, Joan and Blanca.
